Accepted with 17.5k tuition and fee waivers

I e-mailed a professor and he replied me back that I will most probably be accepted with some tuition and fee waivers.. Can't party before receiving the official admission letter:)

"Unfortunately, the committee has decided that your qualifications do not fulfil these requirements, and we must therefore reject your application." My guess is that my no-name university and the course curriculum contributed to this. ETH makes you fill out a course content form where you describe every undergrad course and its content (relevant to their required courses).

I contacted a prospective supervisor in advance but didn't receive an interview invitation. I was later told that PhD applications were highly competitive this year and was advised to transfer to a master's program instead.
