They already sent out their acceptances and have sent out their rejections as well. If you haven't gotten an interview by now, then you're probably out. If you have been interviewed, and haven't heard anything since then, then you're probably waitlisted. That's my guess!

Talked to DGS, said she could offer me admission but not funding at the moment.

emailed the director of the admission committee, got replied: " I'm cc'ing here Prof. McGuire who is the committee member with most knowledge of the American politics candidates and where they stand. You should hear from him soon. I know this is a very stressful time for so many people right now, as the deadlines approach." Does anyone hear from the department?

Felt like this was a complete waste of $80 considering they couldn't provide a timely response. I applied to the PhD program with high GRE scores (165 Verbal, 158 Quant, 5.5 Writing), MA in history from a well regarded public university (3.96 gpa), great LORS, 2 publications, and had spoken to faculty members at UNC. Future applicants should not waste their time and money.

Disappointed in how they handled this process. Charging such a high application fee should at least get one a timely response. Oh well, good luck in the tournament, Tarheels. You're going to need it. Congrats to those who are going to attend here.
