Recieved E-mail for interview from a professor, final decision by the third week of March!

Rejected - but with a nice handwritten note from Lan Samantha Chang that read, "This was very strong work." Simultaneously encouraging and heart wrenching.

Another rejection. If I glue my eyes shut there will be no more pain, no more pain.

Short note scribbled at the bottom of LSC.

Good thing the application is free for military veterans. Yahtzee!

Received the most tacky and unprofessional letter from Iowa. They combined someone else's name with mine, realized the mistake, and instead of correcting it and printing off a new letter, used correction tape to cover up the incorrect name in the header, and just left the incorrect name in the salutation. Perhaps they should rest a little less on their laurels.

Y'all can keep your corn! I don't even care.

"DEAR SIR, I hope this letter finds you in good health And in a prosperous enough position to put wealth In the pockets of schools other than me: down on their clout You see your writing's kinda bad; not sure what it's about..." A little excessive, Iowa, but I too have Hamilton stuck in my head so I guess we're good. Congrats to those who who made it!

Not too disappointed because I'm not trying to spend two years in Iowa.

Got into U of Iowa but wait listed at my safety school...funny how things work!

My therapist continues to say, with fading certainty in her eyes, that the sixth year of applications will be my year.

Well, I guess this was expected. Letter was short and extremely impersonal. The small compliment that they offered up felt forced and was obviously generic. Expected more from them =/ But that's okay. 1a/0w/1r still waiting on three but getting nervous
