Two rejections in a row today. Today has been hard. Didn't even get an email- just saw the results here and checked portal.

Tough tough times these are! 0a/0w/7r/5p

GPA is MA. Generic email. On to the next!

Checked portal, basic rejection that said with over 250 applicants they had to only choose students with research interests that aligned closely with faculty. Last rejection of the season, but I did get into MA program so I'll be accepting that and applying for PhD again for 2026 cycle. Congrats to all those who were admitted!

Email to check portal.

GPA is masters. 2r/2p

Email notification to check portal. 1a/3w/2r/1p. GPA is MA.

received an email acceptance that stated only 10% of applicants were accepted this year. i chose the literature and culture track. no gre and gpa is undergrad (had 1 gap year). very grateful! stats: 0p, 1r, 1w, 5a.

Woohoo!!! Also considered a top applicant and awarded two additional fellowships on top regular offer. Literature and Culture track, so I have no idea if the Rhetoric track went out! Current stats: 3a/3i/0w/4p/6r for 13 programs total (not 16)!!! Almost done with the longest and most stressful cycle ever. GPA is MA (but MA is not in English if that helps give future applicants confidence!)

Can't seem to catch a break this season :(

Has this been a distinctly rough season for anyone else?

GPA is MA. 2a/1i/2w/0r/2p

Emailed to check portal. Generic rejection letter

Autogenerated email from Director of Admissions and Recruitment. Official offer letter via email to follow in next two weeks. (1a/4p)

GPA is MA. This particularly stings as I was waitlisted for the '23 cycle. :/

Rejected for PhD but offered a place in their Master's program - for $30,000/year (!!!). Not happening. 1a/1w/2r/4p

GPA is Master's. Email to check portal with a terse and generic rejection. Oh well. 1a/1w/2r/4p
