To the person below who was accepted, did you have an interview? What is your field?

Does anyone know how the waitlist works at UPenn? Also, does anyone with an offer intend to reject?

Email to check portal. MA in musicology with 3.9 GPA and several conference presentations.

No previous interview. Just an email and the rejection letter on the website.

Very kind personal email which is so very appreciated! This is still my top program! I haven't heard from others that I've applied to, so I'm praying this works out in the end :) congratulations to those accepted and best of luck in your continued decision making !! 😁 In the final stretch, yay! 🙏🫂

Just checked the portal and saw the rejection. Not surprised, but still hopeful I'll get an acceptance elsewhere.

was interviewed 2.5 weeks ago, and rejected without notice - I just checked the portal. 5a/1w/3r/9p

Email from program coordinator to meet with DGS + another professor for interview.

MA GPA is 3.74. Cold application. No email, happened to check portal instead - Currently 0/4 this cycle. Two more to go! Congrats to those admitted

cold application, no email, portal update. POI had a PhD graduated last year in my specific field, so I thought she might be interested in the topic again, now I think maybe that had a negative effect. Applied from undergrad.
