IGNORE STATUS: could somone confirm that uc san diego sent out acceptances, not just waitlists?

Not my result, but since no one who got an invite posted here, I wanted to leave this as historical information for folks (and maybe for my future self, as I might try again): Interview invites for an in-person visit went out around the week of Februrary 14.

Got an email saying that they received 639 applications for 12 spots.

Email from Sarah Kimball, with an attached letter from grad admissions director Prof Michael McKenna. Letter states that I’m “very high” on the waitlist and there is a “good chance” of being admitted, and asks that I discuss with them prior to accepting admission elsewhere. Letter also states that they’ve been conservative with # of initial offers this year. Have others waitlisted received similar? Wondering if this is their generic waitlist email, but keeping fingers crossed…ideal program fit. 2a/1w/9r/5p

Email from Prof. Carson.

Accepted for the Master's as an international student, but given minimal funding. Apparently international Master's students aren't given graduate assistantships, which is the bulk of graduate funding at the Western philosophy department. I will most likely not be able to attend :/

not surprised

gpa is grad, well there goes my cycle lol 0a/0w/8r/0p
