Got a call today from a faculty member who was one of my POI's. This was for the Machine Learning Department.

2 first-author papers in NeurIPS and AAAI. LOR from Turing award winner. Very much expected result

Accepted for Professional MSc :). Also had applied for Research MSc, fingers crossed.

Good GPA. Exp: 1 journal publication, 2 arxiv publication, 1 patent, 19 citations, 2 year exp at IBM R&D

Any decisions for the MPhil in MLMI program so far? Any feedback for the interviewees?

Sent an email to discuss application with two potential advisors. They talked up the program and said I would be a good fit. Said I would likely be accepted. Cautiously optimistic. I applied to the ML program through the IYSE school.

Through BME department. No prior informal contact from POI, formal interview dates March 4-6.

From India. Don't know why people don't apply there. Its #2 in computer vision in the world and # 9 in C.V. and A.I. according to csrankings.com . Got 30% scholarship. No GRE . 7IETLS. GPA of 8.3/10 (83 percent). 2 research papers published (international). 2 book publications accepted(reputed). 3 research internships + 1 relevant company internship and 1 year of job exp in Computer vision and Deep learning which was relevant to the program I applied to.

TTPB: One publication; undergrad majors in Maths & CS; have both research and industrial experience.
