Admitted but still waiting on information relating to funding. The Graduate Director sent a nice email stating that the Provost will be making a decision about funding and that St. John's fully funds whenever possible. The post below is incorrect -- the PhD in English program automatically considers applicants and a separate application is not needed.

Interview invite on 01/27, interview on 02/06, accepted on 02/18

Interview completed on 3/10/26. I was told I will know by 3/13/26.

Ignored the status. Please do let them know if you are not going. I really really want to go, like badly, crazily, madly.....I dreamed almost every night to get admission....

Accepted. Must apply annually in the portal for the Graduate Teaching Assistantship. Not automatically given.

Accepted w/ scholarship

Two single-authored papers (under-review), 3 RLs (one from a well-known faculty member at MIT), 5 poster presentations in top conferences, 1 prestigious fellowship, and 3.79/4.00 M.Sc. cgpa from a small university outside the US. Sad, as this was my dream school.

Saw the notification of status update and I saw that I have been accepted

Email notification for in-person interview on Feb 6, 2026

Interview dates are between Jan16-Jan22.

Got the notification that there was a status update through email. Went to portal and saw the acceptance. No financial aid, bummer.
