Got an email....check website

I just checked the website and the decision was out. Though I have not received an email to check the website yet so anybody that applied for PhD at UCSD may check the website.

No surprise here... 3 years in a row I've applied here and yet another rejection.

Was told in Feb that international students' results would only be out in March due to ongoing budgeting discussions.

Received an email saying that all admits had been given. Was already expecting a reject after so many admits had been given but still sad.

Pretty sure I was on the internal waitlist and got accepted

This was my last result. I have emailed professor for multiple times but anyhow I got rejected. I had applied to 15 schools and admitted from 3. I mostly applied for top 10-30 schools. Two out of three schools were top 50 schools, one was top 30. I selected the latter school. The professor contacted me and I was happy enough the professor that I have heard about. I was surprised that even the student who had undergrad at that school could be rejected with major GPA 3.9. It could have been better if we could all chat rather than just writing the result. Thank you for all the students who had posted their results. Congratulations for the students who got admitted and I don't know what to say for the students who got all rejected. But, I will be back if I get kicked out of school. It was a long journey(around 3 months) and I wish everyone good luck. My final advice for students : Apply many as much as possible rather than regret. If I wouldn't have applied for top 10-20 schools, then I could regretted for my whole grad school year. Because I got all rejected form top 10-20 schools, I am so happy that this is my top university for me. Good luck for all and thank you again.

Very very late email to check rejection letter. Very generic rejection. I was told by someone in physics department that they had less spots this year. Best of luck to everyone else on waitlists.

(Ignore Waitlist) TTPB: To UCSD person - Same! I saw the "application is being reviewed" thing get removed and thought we would find out but it's been two days since that happened. Best of luck! To Maryland person - I believe I'm in the same boat as you. International, got into a few places but none "great." Good thing is I hear what you do and the connections you make matter more than prestige, so this is by no means damning.

Ignore Waitlist. TTPB: I am on the same boat with you and you are probably right. "Your application is being reviewed..." text has been removed from my application portal so I think they will let us know soon.

(Ignore Waitlist). Is it safe to assume anyone that has not received a waitlist email by now is rejected? I have emailed them 3-4 times in the past month to no avail. Please let me know if you have been in touch with them or if you know anything about the final round of decisions.

Has anyone actually received an interview/offer from UCSD quant marketing program? No one that I know of received any updates from UCSD this application cycle.

TTPB who marked rejects, did you get a rejection email or you're assuming reject based on the email that said "all admits are sent out"?

An amusing April Fools prank. I wonder who thought of it. UCSD has a library named after Dr. Seuss, but I didnt expect them to pull this kind of Cat in the Hat antics. Is this even real? Can't wait until tomorrow when they say they "accidentally" released the wrong decisions. Go Tritons.
