Got an email to check the portal. Honestly surprised given my other acceptances and how well my research interests aligned with a large number of their faculty. Didn't even get an interview. Quite disappointed.

Received an email to check portal and was accepted! Out of field applicant and non-traditional student. Had a low undergrad GPA but a 4.0 in speech post baccalaureate classes, NSSLHA involvement, leadership role, DEI involvement. Strong recommendations letters and personal statement. Beyond excited!

No email to notify me but I checked the portal and saw I was accepted! So exciting my first acceptance. Have taken some prerequisites but my degree is in something else.

After interview in early Feb., got a personalized email from MCC grad studies director notifying me about waitlist, but she did mention that I am top of the waitlist and offered to meet w/ me on zoom to chat, so i'm hoping it all works out. if anyone is planning to decline their offer, I would be grateful for some good news sooner rather than later,
