Was waitlisted on 2/25 and then rejected on 4/13 via email. No interview prior to decision.

Sent an email to Pharmacy Graduate Program Admissions for an update on April 9th, received a rejection email today, April 15th. I really thought I had a chance but I guess I was just imagining it... 1 REU, 3 Conference, 4-year undergraduate research assistant, graduating Bachelor's of Pharmacy in July 2026. Probably my essay wasn't great enough.

Accepted off of waitlist: Sent an email to the PI I wanted to work with to say I was about to accept an offer from another program - received acceptance next day. Organic

Email the Pharmacy Graduate Admission for an update, got a heartfelt rejection like this (Trimmed some part of the email): On behalf of the selection committee, we would like to thank you for your interest in joining our graduate program at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy department of Medicinal Chemistry. Your application has thoroughly reviewed by our faculty, and it is with great regret that we are unable to offer you admission to our program. As you can imagine, matching applicants whose educational interests, accomplishments, and skills are compatible to the strengths of our program is a challenging process. Like many other universities, the number of competitive applications we received this year exceeded the limited number of positions available. In our desire to be able to provide sufficient attention to each student in the program, we unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to turn away many qualified candidates. Please know that the disappointment we feel in sending you this news is tempered by our knowledge that you will be successful at the institution you choose to attend.
