applied phd, accept master. Does anyone get accept into phd program without master? The reason they said they reject my application for phd because I do not have master degree.

No word on funding yet. Anybody got accepted with funding?

TTPB: That's exactly what happened. Two weeks ago they asked 4 interview and I gave them my available time slots and NEVER HEARD BACK. So confusing!

TTPB: also radio silence for me from UF...according to posts below, 4 people got interview invites from the same prof but then someone said they hadn't heard anything since the initial invite (assuming that means they haven't even had their interview yet?) seems like they don't have their sh%# together

Has anyone interviewed or gotten a decision? This is the only school I'm still waiting to hear from.

No funding mentioned, and of course it will be difficult to find funding in the program because of my international status. Plus their avg graduation time is about 6 years. Certainly not worth it. I truly despise unfunded offers. I don't understand how programs expect someone to pay tuition for 5-6 years and live without a stipend.

TTPB: Was the waitlist email from a professor?

I just heard from a friend at UNC PhD that the program's funding situation is really bad, and too many PhD students are enrolled and some of them yet have any assistantships. Not just fundings but they are also very low on other budgets like travel expenses, lab desks etc. Thinking rejecting the offer now..
