interviewed with 1 professors listed in my app, and another new prof. also got an email asking to check portal on 3/3.

I emailed asking for an update and they informed me I was on the waitlist.

I had emailed the GC multiple times and I wasn't getting a clear answer from him. I finally emailed my POI and she responded in less than 5 minutes and told me that I wasn't offered a spot. I was expected this result, I just wish I got it sooner.

No contact with any POI, just got admitted.

GPA from Master's. No GRE.

3.43 GPA, ~1.5 years research, no pubs. This was the last astro school I was waiting on, so looks like unless one of the physics schools accepts me I'll be trying again next year. I'll be back, GradCafe! :]

PI emailed to set up a Zoom meeting in which I was informed of waitlist status.

Not actually waitlisted!! To the person below, I emailed them last week and they said, "The Admissions Committee is currently reviewing applications. You should expect to hear back around Spring Break (mid-March)." It seems like they try to get admissions decisions out before spring break so hopefully we will hear by this Friday since their spring break is next week.

Congrats to those that got in! Email to check portal, where I found a rude message saying that I didn't turn materials in on time (even though my submission dates are clearly visible in the drop-down and they were all in before the Dec 1 deadline).

NOT ACTUALLY WAITLISTED. I was wondering if anyone has heard from UTA? It looks like many of their other grad and Phd programs sent admission results last week. It looks like they usually notify by now based on previous years.
