Got in the last cycle for the direct Ph.D., can't believe it. Stats: Pros: 8 publications in journals and conferences, strong LORs, innovative research proposal (AI & climate change). Cons: undergrad from lesser-known Indian University. FYI: Virtual Grad Visit Week from March 8-12.

Domestic Canadian student. Received unofficial acceptance from department March 6th.

TTPB: you mean you got off from the "waitlists" and accepted U of T's offer?

standard rejection, I don't care since already got offer from US institutions.

I accepted.

TTPB e-mailed the professor, he said. that offers are out to the top applicants in that ranking and if any decline then the next ranked student on the waitlist will be offered admission.
