To the post below: If I remember clearly from the application instructions. Them requesting a Livescan is basically saying you've been admitted. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

To the posters below: I was one of the people who were discussing having not received anything yet, and was just sent the "recommend admission providing..." email asking for a livescan. I'm surprised that they are asking for this before an official acceptance as well. Does this mean we will receive an official acceptance if we complete the livescan, or is it another step in the process? I hope everyone else heard back/hears back soon!

To those discussing SF state, I had an interview that day also, but I was in the very last group of the day lol. I received an email today too about "status of recommendation for admission" and that they are prepared to a recommendation provided the following documents which was a certificate of clearance. Did anyone else have to request a livescan? Is this weird to do before even getting accepted? Good luck to everyone!

To the response below: Thank you! It definitely makes me feel a little better. I was actually the first group that interviewed with the board. I am wondering if they accept their own students first before looking at students from other schools. Hope we both hear from the department soon!

To the previous poster: If it makes you feel better, I'm in the same position. Interviewed in the first set of groups as well (would've been crazy if we'd met that day!). The faculty member I wanted to work with was on the panel which was amazing, especially since SF was my first choice school. But still haven't heard back, and admittedly I'm starting to lose hope. SFSU seems notorious for being late with these things though, so fingers crossed we both hear back soon!

Hey all. I interviewed in Feb. with the department and still haven't heard back from them. I was one of the first groups to go into the interview room and felt that I didn't get to really interject throughout the interview process. I've been seeing that a lot of people have been posting their acceptance from SFSU and am really bummed and as I haven't heard back. I've received one email (March 14th) about my application being forwarded to the department and having them take a final look. Not only am I stressed about this pandemic but also my grad application. Sorry for venting.

How does UCSD's rolling basis admission works? Many candidates who applied on the last date for submitting application were given an accept in the first wave and many of those who applied earlier are getting admits in the later rounds? Anyone has any visibility on that?

For those who received e-mails with regards to their acceptance, any change in your portal??? or have you received the official admission letter? Aren't they a bit late?
