Very surprised to be shortlisted

Heard directly from POI inviting me to a short zoom call with him as the first part of the interview process.

I contacted the PI before the application, he'd encouraged me to apply then.

Interview dates Feb. 4th-5th.

I sent an e-mail to the program rep. They confirmed all invites have already been sent out.

To the previous poster, congratulations on receiving the interview request! If you don't mind me asking, can you tell us which area of psychology you applied?

Notified of an offer for an interview but I will say that my current PI moved from my home institution to UTD and now works in the Neuroscience department. I did not apply for a rotation in his lab, but he could have potentially influenced their decision to interview me.

I got an email saying my decision was ready, went to the website and I got a rather informal and disappointing email notifying me of my rejection but assuring me my application was carefully reviewed and that this year's cycle was highly competitive.

Interview dates: Feb 11-13

Got an email: There has been a change in the status of your application to the Neuroscience PhD graduate program at UCSF. Then on the application portal, right by the link to access the application it says: rejected. Hope it helps!

International student, Masters, 3 years of full-time research experience, 3 first author publications, couple of international posters, and presentations.
