Actually, if you do a historical search, the MFA in Fiction acceptances does phone calls, whereas in Poetry people who are accepted are sent "nice e-mails." In any event, the corresponding time for fiction phone calls is this coming weekend and into the beginning of next week. One word of advice, though, if you are a woman, and applying for poetry, consider it a favor if you are rejected. I have known three women who have gone through that program (IWW MFA Poetry), and it didn't end well for them.

Hey I was not calling anyone a liar. I was merely doing what IWW asked of me, to post the information as they told it to me. They would not email you because they will only call and send a letter via post. And they have yet to do either for any applicant. Of course, you can call the school yourself because they were very matter of fact. I have two other schools that accepted me, but awaiting decisions from several. I explained to them that I needed to know if I was waitng in vain, and I believe they told me accurate information. Someone else calling would be helpful tho.

Did anyone hear or got acceptance from University of Iowa?

To the poster below who asked about University of Iowa biostatistics. Yesterday I called them, they said this year they would not send rejection letters to the applicants, but they said they had already sent all the offers to the candidates and there is another 10 people in the waiting list. So if you didn't hear back from them, that means you have low probability to get admission. However, if you don't have master degree, they will consider you to enter their ms program without funding.
