hep-th. Keep up the hopes, guys! I got many rejections before this.

PI sent a personal email informing rejection. The department just had meeting yesterday and final decisions have been made. Formal acceptance/rejections will be released soon.

Ignore wl. Are the schools listed above the only remaining better ranked schools that haven't released their decision?

Really liked the program. It is disappointing that I didn't get in. Had 6 publications. poor GPA might be the cause

firefly met the committee on Feb 16; notice of acceptance on 18 w/ official letter

I was rejected after the interview. Very disappointed. I went through so many interviews (one panel and five individual interviews), and all of my interviews went super well. I have no clue why they made this decision. Also, they asked us to arrange the time with the professors, which took me a lot of time to do the email communication. All the interviewees would have different interviewers. I totally don't know how they make a FAIR decision under this circumstance. They recruited A LOT OF people for the interview process. Anyway, it was a very disappointing experience, and this program gave me a horrible impression. My understanding is that they have pre-selected the persons they want to admit before the interview. Other people are just invited to add to the number. :-)

Email to check website. Very excited to be going here - it was my first choice!

Please let the school know if you are not interested in accepting a position in the program!
