If a student hasn't recieved any update from UPenn, does that mean that student is rejected? Had anyone received an update?

email stating that they were accepting very few students this year, because of last year over-yield

Portal update, did not get an email yet but expect one soon. Did not take GRE.

email to check website. 3a/1r/2p

Rejected for the PhD program but offered a spot in their Master's program. Honestly shocked and pleasantly surprised.

We would like to invite you to attend a Virtual interview session on Saturday, March 4, 2023

Interviews occurring Wednesday - Friday this week (I'm declining due to a dominating offer -- good luck to others!)

Rejected after interview

email to check portal, found decision letter attached! interviewed in late jan.

Deeply anticlimactic email to check portal, assumed rejection until the words "we are delighted" appeared. Wondering about this phone call situation Penn usually does...

I emailed them to check about their timeline of publishing decisions, and they replied with decision for me (rejection), saying they choose 5-7 applicants from a pool of 200. Not very surprised.

Email from DGS saying I have been placed on a short waitlist. Says they wished they could have offered me admission, but that the department had a significantly higher yield last year, and are therefore only permitted to accept an extremely small amount of students this year. AP.

most likely declining after hearing funding on offers from other schools
