Has anyone heard about from the department when the results are going to be announced ?

I've been under graduate review since last week. What about you? I emailed them, but I haven't heard back yet. I would definitely call if I were you!

They are working today (they were closed until Tuesday this week), so we should hear more today.

Do you know how the COVID-19 will affect the admission process in here, whether you are accepted or rejected? Delayed decisions or review processes etc. Any clue?

Is anyone else still waiting to hear from UMD's information studies Ph.D.? I was not interviewed and have received no correspondence, but my online status still says “under review.” Not sure what to make if this, but I'm assuming the worst.

Had interviews last week, was pleased to see an RA offer. 1 REU, 1 year of research experience in controls/robotics with our program head, and several years of robotics project experience including leadership roles. Double Math/Engineering Major. 4A/2R/2P.

I was very surprised to have heard so early!

Not originally my first choice, but I loved the visit weekend and now I think it's the best place for me! Excited and grateful to be accepted + offered a nice fellowship.

Received an acceptance email from Director of Graduate Admissions at UMD. Formal acceptance will follow. Received another email from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office, today, about applying for I-20. Anyone else who also received a similar email and by when do we have to respond back with our decision?

I applied to the applied linguistic and language education division. Kind of like the program. But maybe my writing sample and sop were not strong enough. I wish to know the statistics of those who got in.
