Response: I applied around the 20th of December I think (definitely before Christmas). My application status was 'Under consideration by the Degree Committee' for pretty much the whole time (though, according to their admissions department, that does not necessarily mean the department had finished with it - apparently the department and the degree committee often consider applications simultaneously) between then and when it changed to BoGS on the 17th Feb.
