Canadian. Received email from Grad Chair regretting to inform me that I was not selected, almost 300 applicants this year, and that evaluating writing is subjective. Try again next year. This was my dream program. 1a/1r/3p Congrats to all else who got in!

First acceptance! Came with a nice form letter and a modest scholarship offer. I only got rejections and a waitlist last year. Stay strong, y'all! 1a/0w/2r/12p

Last year I was rejected by two programs, zero funding at a school that shall remain nameless, and waitlisted at Brown! This year I got into one of those two programs, accepted by two others, before the call today. While I'm still waiting to hear from Brown and if I will be accepted with funding from Nameless U, it's insane what a difference a year makes!

2a/0w/0r/3p. Very speedy! Last recommendation went in 2 days ago.

Accepted with 40% tuition scholarship. I was offered full funding elsewhere so I'll be turning it down.

What a way to start the day!! First school I've heard back from. Feels SO good!

Email to check portal. 40% merit scholarship. Waiting to hear about aid.

Just received a call from Deborah Landau! 1a/1r/5p

"sorry to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan. You should not view this as a reflection on your ability: we received over 980 applicants this year, and the limited size of our program means that we can admit only a small percentage from this very strong pool." Congrats to everyone who made it!!

Received a mail from one of the Professors, saying I was accepted and that they understood I might have applied to other places and that they were happy to be one of my options now! Have to confirm before the 15th of April or sooner if they award a GAship. Assistantship is a separate procedure altogether and is not awarded automatically.

My first acceptance after 3 years of rejections and wait lists. The head of the department was deeply kind—he said they were 'enthralled' with my work. I look forward to hearing about funding as this is a big first choice for me!

first rejection of the season! to quote meek mill, "wins and the losses, it come with being bosses". 0a/1w/1r/5p
