Personalized e-mail from admissions chair. 410 applicants and they are aiming for a cohort of 8. Seems both wait-listed and admitted students are invited to attend the visit days on 3/28-29. So excited! NYC, here I come! :)

Second interview

Rudest email of all: "Unfortunately, because of the volume of applications we receive and school policy, we are not permitted to provide individualized feedback on your application." Who gives the permit to do so?

I was unofficially informed about the rejection in early Jan, but got the official email today. In January they said they admitted only 6 out of 200.

"Unfortunately, because of the volume of applications we receive and school policy, we are not permitted to provide individualized feedback on your application."

Yippeeeee!!! Fell in love with the program during interview weekend. Thrilled to be admitted!!!

My application, as I thought, was strong enough. But.. "so many more students apply than we can properly support", the answer was... My third reject (

E-mailed POI. Sad...it was my 1st choice. :(

Email from POI w/unofficial acceptance. Was told that official decisions are a while off. My (possibly incorrect) sense is that only joint degree people are getting early decisions.

Got the e-mail from the Assoc. Dean of the Graduate School

I was so stupid!!! I messed up the interview!!!

2 years of undergrad research, but no publications... they said i'm high in the wait list so there may be still hope...
