I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to MIT in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The number of applicants for admission to the Graduate School greatly exceeds the number which can be accommodated and it has been necessary to refuse admission to some fine applicants. TTPB: I emailed them beginning of March and they said the same thing: decisions will be out mid-March. So I'm assuming sometime this week.

Has anyone received word regarding when the final results will be posted? When I had e-mailed them 2 weeks ago, they said it would be out by mid March.

Finally. Accepted without funding.

TTPB: I still haven't heard back yet from the PhD (non-CEP). But at this point I really think it'll just be a rejection. Applicants already posted that they've been admitted earlier on.

Has even a single applicant for the PhD program or the MS CEP program gotten a rejection yet?

Does anybody know if they usually notify applicants that they got waitlisted? It has been more than 3 months with absolutely no answer. Should I contact them to know if I got waitlisted? Or should I just presume I was rejected?

TTPB: I am an international applicant and Ms. Hamlin replied my e-mail by saying that my application has been evaluated and there is no decision on it yet. I want to ask whether she mentioned the word ‘waitlist' in the reply you received? Also, what should I interpret from the reply I have received ?

With funding. Does any one also get the acceptance? I will go there in 2020 Fall.

Emailed they graduate coordinator Ms. Hamlin and she came back to me a week later saying I am waitlisted and will let me know by April.12th if there are slots open. 0a 6r 2w 6p right now. I would really appreciate it if anyone who have made their final decision already can reject other offers quickly. Thank you!

If anyone has been accepted by other top programs kindly decline ASAP and give people on the waitlist a chance. this is my top choice and I'd love to get an admit! thanks a lot!!
