Received an email notification to check the application portal. I had three strong rec letters and an MA from a top-10 school.

Standard rejection letter. Don't think I'll be reapplying here next cycle.

Was denied on 2/9/21 @11pm: Thank you for applying to graduate study at UCLA. We regret to inform you that you are not being offered admission. UCLA receives many more applications than there are student places available. Each of these applications is carefully reviewed by a departmental faculty committee. In this extremely competitive environment, many talented and promising students are not recommended for admission by these committees. We understand that this decision is disappointing, and again, there are many more applications than there are places available. Inquiries about your application or the decision may be submitted in writing to: Graduate Admissions Officer, Education , 1009 Moore Hall, Box 951521, Los Angeles, CA, 90095-1521, [email protected]. Please accept our best wishes for success in all your future endeavors. Sincerely, UCLA Graduate Division Diversity, Inclusion and Admissions

Saw poster notified on website so I checked. Same.

No email notification, I just randomly checked the portal and saw there was an update and document attached.

Checked portal after seeing someone else post a portal update (sans email notification). GPA is MA

checked portal after seeing others post their acceptances, saw generic rejection letter

TTPB: Got Interview with PI about a month ago (PI selected during application process). Checked recently with PI. Said still waiting for funding source to make decision.

If you're not taking your spot in the Psych program at UCLA, please let them know! I'd love to go.
