Anybody got feedback from the Sociology Department yet? Stuck at the degree committee phase for ages now.

Rejection from Gates Cambridge scholarship. My hope is now on the trust's scholarships. Fingers crossed

Got offer from faculty 15th Feb, moved to BOGS over two weeks ago, still waiting... has anyone moved on from BOGS recently?

To the Arts poster below, thanks so much for your detailed reply! I hope so!

to ECE poster below, I didn't receive any interview request or any sort of notification that I had been put forward for the International Scholarship. Just an email completely out of the blue. The Trust website explains that they are offered to the highest ranked 250 students of each year, after they compile all the departmental rankings. I would assume they do not conduct interviews for this. Don't lose hope, it's still early!

Hi, a question: did any of you who received a Cambridge International scholarship attend a separate interview from the scholarship committee? Someone told me he attended that, but I didn't even know this.

Thanks so much for your detailed response. All the best!

@ Education poster, thank you! I heard from Gates last Friday (3/3) and AHRC this Thursday (9/3). I read that the Gates interviews go out from the beginning of March till the 13th, so there are people who haven't had theirs! Bit of background in case anybody finds it helpful: 4.25 GPA/high first for undergrad, predicted distinction in MA from RG uni. 6 publications, public speaking experience, 3 awards. Really didn't think I'd get the Gates interview. Hope everybody hears back soon, and good luck!

Interviewed January 11, accepted via website on March 1, waiting for college placement.

Interview on 1 March, moved to BOGS 10 March

Moved to BOGS on 16 Feb Offer made on 24 Feb College acceptance on 10 March

To the Arts poster below, thanks for sharing your background with us! It is really useful as we can make a rough estimation about our possibility to get funded especially for those who hold multiple offers to decide which to accept! Thanks!

@ PhD HPS poster below. Congrats! When did you get your Gates invite? Today?

"UNDER CONSIDERATION BY DEGREE COMMITTEE". SO FAR NO PROGRESS.

To Theology poster below, here is my background, although I don't think it's healthy or helpful to compare and stress about it: undergrad GPA 3.8/4 rank 1st, MPhil A+, 5 awards, 2 years teaching experience, 3 publications, was rejected from less competitive schools and didn't expect to get this scholarship at all. Stay positive, and good luck!

Corpus Christi College; offered AHRC & interview for Gates.

to the posters below that received the Cambridge international scholarship. What were you GPAs like?

To the Education PhD below, my timeline was: Interview Jan 30, Degree committee Feb 20, BoGS Feb 22, Offer letter March 2, Scholarship email March 6. Goodluck to everyone, stay positive!

BGS notification back in January (no formal interview, surprisingly). Downing College allocation 8 Mar. No word on funding yet.
