Got the email notification. Not unhappy, already chose a different school before today

Excited but I will definitely be declining if I don't get good funding. Hope they let us know about that soon. I was very close to making a decision before they sent the acceptance.

Does anyone know how long the 'alternate' list is? Though I'm not expecting anyone to turn down a spot from Vanderbilt.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between 'waitlist' and 'alternate'. My letter says I am an alternate.

I'm a little surprised, since I've already been published in a research journal, I had 5 strong LOR's and I'm in a ton of extracurriculars/volunteer work. But it's okay. I'm actually not upset - I pretty much decided on another school before hearing back from Vandy. Congrats to anyone who got in!

First and only rejection. Kinda stings. Have 2 degrees, 4.0 GPA in both, 318 GRE, research exp, 3 years full-time teaching deaf/hoh. For those accepted, what were your stats?
