To poster below asking about how & when I got notified. I was notified by email directly from the CS grad office head on March 30th in the morning (~8AM EST). There was an acceptance letter attached and I was told I would get an official one in the mail soon.

Applied to MS/PhD, accepted into MS (I guess that implies I'm rejected from contention for MS/PhD and probably means they have their PhD class set). From UofT, Industrial Engineering Major, no publications, research experience is just an undergrad thesis on applying ML to Educational Datasets. Expected result tbh given my limited research experience and mediocre GRE, excited for the opportunity!

It is okay.

I applied and was accepted in both fiction and poetry. The emails were great, I went there and met with staff and current students and have had phone chats with both fiction and poetry faculty. Compelling offer, I'm just waiting to get a rejection from BU. 2a/1w/0r (of 4)

If we have not heard anything should we assume we are waitlisted or rejected?

To those who are on the UMass waitlist, I plan to reject their offer of admission this week -- hope this helps you out!!! They don't have a planned visit, so you won't miss out on that, but they do offer money towards visiting at any time you like. Good luck, stay strong champs the waters are rough!

Got an email from the program director indicating I had been admitted with optimism for future funding. Status updated on portal to indicate acceptance from Graduate School. No funding info yet
