Could anyone tell me the stipend amount they were offered? I am curious if I was offered the same thing. Thank you!

I am currently holding an offer from Penn State, and I will most likely decline this in 5 days, hopefully, but I am not 100% sure about this.

Got accepted in February. Anyone else who has also got through this program?

I emailed them directly to act about the status of my application & they replied letting me know there wasn’t room for me in the program. I don’t know why they’ve been waiting so long to send out rejections, it’s kind of ridiculous!

To the poster(s) below, the accepted students visit to PSU was March 24-26. There were 12 of us there, some who got into the MA/PhD, and a few who had already earned MAs at other institutions and got into the PhD program. I think a good amount of the people at the visit were leaning towards Penn State or had only been accepted there. Those who have not heard yet, you're probably on an unofficial waitlist as they made what seemed rolling acceptances this season (I heard in mid-February while others heard in late January).

Also got the rejection email and could not believe how impersonal and informal it was for APRIL 5. Also, did anyone get accepted for the PhD program this year? I never saw anyone post acceptances, only for the Masters program. Geez, at least personalize it with applicant names!

Honestly awful. Waited until April 5 to send an e-mail that begins with “dear APPLICANT.” Couldn’t even out my name in it. “Dear Applicant, Thank you for your patience as the admissions season progresses. I'm writing to let you know that we are not going to have space in our program this year for you. We only have a limited number of spaces (twelve to be exact), and everyone in our program is fully funded. I'm sorry the news isn't better.”

Accepted without funding.
