Email from POI (EV) letting me know I was waitlisted

Letter in the mail saying I'm waitlisted and won't be notified further until April 16. I'm already accepted to the school I want to go, so guess I won't be going here.

To poster below: PhD decisions are running late because they’re doing interviews this year. Invite was in a “visit or Skype” email that didn’t mention interviews specifically. Was told by someone in the department that PhD decisions are expected by mid-March.

It's not a necessary process. I submit a little low TOEFL score than they want. I had an interview with a staff member to check my english ability.

Anyone here from IU about informatics PhDs yet? The website says they should have sent notifications in mid-February, but tomorrow is March! Getting nervous; it's my top choise
