Neuroscience track of the BBSP program

I had a short zoom interview earlier this month and recently received an invite to their second interview round/weekend.

TTPB: Sent out by my POI. I applied for the cognitive psychology track. Application submitted on 14 Dec (as a deadline fighter...).

TTPB: is the interview sent out by the program or POI ? When did you submit your application ?

Invited to the visiting day at the end of the interview.

contacted two PIs that I was interested in; shared my current research and why I am interested in their group. 1 very strong LOR, other 2 pretty good LORS. 3.5 years of research, no pubs, several awards/honors, double major in chem and math.

Non-trad; 3.5 years of full-timeresearch at a top-5 school throughout undergrad; obtained degree from a lower-tier public school; no publications; 2 national research awards; no GRE; 3 strong LORs from PI/direct research supervisors, 1 from a professor. Interview is virtual Feb. 17-18.

Was accepted without funding. Decided to reject the offer and apply again for Fall 2022.

3.15 GPA, 2 publications in middle ranking journals, year and a half of undergrad research, and 2 years of postbac research at reputable university. 3 very strong recommendation letters

no Pubs and no GRE, research experience 1 year in undergrad and two years post bacc

After seeing two previous waves of interview invites for the BBSP, I was not expecting this. Invited to virtually interview 2/10-2/11. 1 publication, 2 in prep, 1 presentation, no GRE
