I guess that anyone who did not get interview in the prior-Feb has no chance to be accepted.

With a follow-up e-mail. Provisional acceptance and a letter of recommendation to the graduate school. Psyched. Offer most likely to be accepted but I'm waiting until I hear back from everyone.

This does not seem to be going well for me. I interviewed 2 weeks ago. 3rd overall rejection with a waitlist at another. :( 2 more interviews scheduled though... "What distinguishes students is their ability to talk about their research and show passion for science. You didn't give the impression that that you were passionate about getting a PhD. Because of that impression, people were not excited about you. We only accepted half the students who interviewed with you and those who were not accepted had similar weaknesses."

Was informed during interview that I was accepted (informal) + funding :)

We had an extremely strong pool of applicants this year...

Too many qualified, but very few resources...

Only took them 2 1/2 months to get back to me. :/ One of my top 5 schools but I was expecting it.

Was fully expecting this. I did not believe my interview went well at all. Still hope though, email stated that this was not a rejection and that an offer of acceptance may still occur after they finish interviewing other candidates. Currently have 3 other interview to occur first.
