Got an email from the director saying I was recommended for admission and funding is available for 3 years. My 1st acceptance.

To the UF post below: did you receive interview?

Was actually notified that I received a New Student Grant before receiving notification that I have been accepted. Very confusing.

To the post below, not thinking this means admission. However, on the UF website it says they "recruit" 9 to 11 top applicants each year. Which would make it fairly unlikely for them to reject you as they have to take into consideration that these "top applicants" are likely getting other offers. From what I've heard from current PhD candidates, this is a really good sign. They want you at UF. The admissions department just wants to make sure you enjoy the school. They want the more "human" side of your app that obviously isn't possible through the internet. I wouldn't worry about getting rejected at this point. I'll be at UF during the visitation weekend! Email from Graduate Coordinator: "Thank you for your application to our PhD program at the University of Florida. Our Admissions Committee was impressed with your credentials, and we think that you would be a great fit with our faculty." invite to Graduate Recruitment Weekend in 8 & 9 March. 1a/1r/2w/7p

Email from POI, which reads: "Thank you for your application to our PhD program at the University of Florida. Our Admissions Committee was impressed with your credentials, and we think that you would be a great fit with our faculty." Invitation to join graduate recruitment weekend. CP subfield. My background is in economics & econometrics. This acceptance is the light at the end of the tunnel for me. 1a/9r/0w. Can't describe how elated I am right now.

Iffy undergrad GPA, 4.0 grad GPA so far, stellar rec letters. Got the email this morning!

Notice of application update through e-mail. Letter of acceptance through the website. Still awaiting funding details. No interview (yet).

Got a skype interview invitation on 01/02/20 and then an on campus interview invitation on 01/14/20 (both by email). Interview is 02/17/20-02/19/20

Got an interview invitation on 12/29/19 and interviewed from 01/26/20-01/28/20, accepted within 4 days of the interview
