First official rejection 😍 absolutely THRILLED

Was told first round of interviews has already happened and I "may" receive an interview by April 1st

Had met with a supervisor back in October and agreed on a project. $23K stipend yearly. I have a 4.0 GPA, 1 major co-author publication, 1 non-peer reviewed publication, 2 publications in progress.

Got an email that I'm invited to an event on 2/4! one of my top schools - super excited

Received an email saying that I am on the short list of candidates being considered for a fellowship through NGP. No prior communication from the school.

Recruitment events Feb 14-15th

emailed the department for an update. "Of the nearly 600 applications we received, we were only able to invite a very small number to interview. Given the high volume of applications received, we are not able to offer application review and feedback at this time."
