Honestly not that hurt as I got good news from Northwestern tonight. USC wasn't a great fit for my research anyways. Congrats to all admits, and to all rejects — don't lose hope!

Not my top choice as I was already unsure if I was the right fit for this program, but the first rejection still stings. 0a/1r/4w

Call from DGS / my POI inviting me to a virtual campus visit / interview in late February. I was told that I was one of the top 8 of 124 applicants. In my state of shock I forgot to ask how many spots are available.

Interview with three faculty members of department including POI. On a side note, they were all really lovely.

Email stated they received 121 applications and were only allowed to accept 10.

Kind, form email. Accepted 10/121 applicants. Seems like they were looking for someone with a better fit with their faculty. Good luck to other applicants!

TTPB: I have not heard anything since interviewing with the adcom and my POI about a week ago. Hoping to hear next week.

Got an email with an acceptance letter for the MS/PhD program attached! Congrats to everyone to got accepted! POI: AL

Received an email saying there was an update on my application. When I checked my status I found that I was rejected. Very devastated. I though my interview (back in Dec.) went really well.

Interview date will be Feb 1

Interview date will be Feb 3

Email for zoom meeting with "Applicant Review Committee"

Nice, thoughtful email.

I expected to get rejected especially with the competitiveness and saw folks were already being scheduled for interviews.

2nd-time applicant, a straightforward email. Look for 'Laney Graduate School' email instead of 'Emory'
