TTPB: I am algebra. I have another offer too but Austin is top choice and its not even close, and there are other life reasons why I want to go to UT. It's perfect for me. Praying with everything I have that I get an offer.

TTPB: I still have not heard anything from UT. I scrolled back to see the admissions for ME applicants last Fall and it seems like a lot of people got their decision on the 15th of April which is pretty bad. Not sure whether or not I should email admissions regarding status.

TTPB: UT Austin has already sent out admissions for Mechanical Engineering MS and PhD students. The virtual open house was a month ago. You might want to contact them regarding the status of your application.

Is the online program of UT Austin (MSCo) really that competitive ? Will it be valued compared to on campus masters in some low ranked colleges in the US ?

Has anyone heard anything from UTA? First they said they'll be releasing results by Feb end and then by march end but it's been pretty silent all around.

I had mailed the grad coordinator a couple of days ago only to receive a highly ambiguous response - "should be out at any point in the next few days". Has anyone here received admission to Austin?

To the previous post, same boat with the short list. But I do know that Austin takes 5 folks every year. What you have to keep in mind is that not everyone uses GradCafe, wants to post their acceptance, or even knows about it. I noticed this with the other programs that I've applied too, it seems like Humanities students aren't as active on it as STEM students. Hopefully we both hear back good news soon!! The wait is awful, esp with this being my only option this year :'(

Just FYI, my timeline is the following: **3/7**: Received an email asking for the interview; Interviewed on 3/9, and I was told I'm on the finalist. **3/19**: Received the official offer. I inquired in March and was told I was being considered for a second round offer. I would appreciate it if anyone who made up their mind to not attend UT Austin would let them know.

Since others seem to be doing this, I'll take the opportunity: if you have an offer you won't be accepting from UT Austin, please please decline it. It would be an enormous help.

Got notified via email that I am not being considered for admission. Few people got recommended for Online MS, I was not even one of them. SOP and LORs were decent but lack of research experience and papers must have been the reason.

Just declined my funded offer from UT-Austin. Best of luck to everyone on the waitlist.
