That's painful

I submitted my app on 01/09/2015, and I still haven't heard back from them!! It's been 4 months. Why does it take them so long?! They just said my app under the department review!!! Is there anyone got a different reply from them??

from Amirkabir University, Iran. Ernst Weber Fellowship, 30K stipend, Tuition remission plus all fees and health insurance.

Notes: Called director of CS graduate program. Was able to get him; he is very pleasant. He said if you haven't heard anything from the school by now, you are most likely on a waiting list.

I haven't received a decision yet, I've also emailed them twice but never received an answer. I also didn't get any response from USC as well and already accepted an offer from another program, hope I can get a refund on the application fee.

Applied Feb. 6th. So far nothing. Went as far as calling the director. He said a few days, a week has passed. This is really painful waiting.

"Your application is still under review by the department. The department can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to make a decision." Seriously!!

It's not you, the standards of the people writing correspondence has slipped over the last two decades, and the level of professionalism (or lack thereof) is visible in rejection letters.
