Accepted in off the waitlist. Definitely accepting!

Congrats to those who got in! The email told me to expect an automated rejection eventually.

Generic form rejection through the application portal

Got an email from Phillip Lopate saying I've been admitted and would be receiving the official letter soon! Made my day!

Offered TAship which includes health insurance and all fees. 30,100 before union negotiation.

not even an email notification, just logged onto the portal and found it :(

This was my number 1 school. Pretty disappointed. I guess MFA programs had a type this year because from what I'm seeing, pretty much everybody either got lots of rejections, lots of acceptances, or lots of waitlists. 1a/3w/7r/3p

I received an email prior to the portal update saying I'd been placed high on their waitlist. The email also requested that I not post anywhere about my status before UVA had a chance to notify all its other applicants, which to me makes a lot of sense. This seems to be standard for their acceptances and waitlists but, after speaking with others, it seems that not everyone who was waitlisted received any emails about it before or after their portal update. Beyond this, which may not ultimately mean much, I couldn't get any other info regarding list length, rankings, etc.

Feels good to have closure! 2a/1w/3r/0p

Final school notice for me! Final stats 2a/0w/7r
