Waitlisted 02/09, Accepted from waitlist 03/31!

Applied for the Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB) umbrella program, but they did not have that option. I was sent an email that there was an update to my admissions portal.

Undergrad GPA 3.34, first MS outside of States 3/4 gpa, second ms in States with 4/4 gpa. No publication but years of experience.

As I am sure you are aware, admission to graduate programs at the University is exceptionally competitive and most applicants are not offered admission. Thank you for having considered the University of Connecticut for your graduate degree."

Rejected post virtual interviews but was told this was one of the most competitive years to date

Post-interview WL. Admitted to a different but overlapping PhD program at Dartmouth a couple weeks before.

In-person visit to campus to interview.

Master GPA 4.0/4.0, 5 published papers, 4 years of research experience, 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience. No interview

Was notified of my rejection. Said in the update to my application portal that they recognized the news might be disappointing in light of my qualifications. I have a little over two years research experience in evaluating new antibiotics, and wanted to make an admittedly hard pivot into protein engineering, preferably through the lens of machine learning. Didn't take the GRE.
