No funding mentioned, but I think program reputation and ranking are more important than funding. Will accept.

I just heard from a friend at UNC PhD that the program's funding situation is really bad, and too many PhD students are enrolled and some of them yet have any assistantships. Not just fundings but they are also very low on other budgets like travel expenses, lab desks etc. Thinking rejecting the offer now..

Interview was on Jan 29

Told I was on the waitlist after inquiry. Kindly ask if anyone who was accepted and didn't plan to attend could decline. Thanks!

interviewed feb 13-15

Told to check update to portal. Not surprised since I don't have a masters, also not my first choice. Disappointing all the same. 0a/0w/1d/2p

Seem to be an ad without funding. Cannot afford the expensive tuition, I am not sure if there's assistantships positions available of any kinds.

No word on funding yet

Have not heard about funding yet

A very early-morning email on Sunday from the DGS. Still no information on my portal, but they informed me I've been rejected. I'd emailed Friday asking about my status, since I saw results posts going up here but hadn't heard anything.

Disappointed, but not surprised. I'm a good student with research experience, but I don't have a master's and my undergrad is a very small school. Not what I was hoping for, but I'll live.

Next Tuesday post interview.
