Campus visit day

My safe school, and I got in. Yay!! (undergrad GPA: 2.95; GRE verbal 159; GRE AW 4.5)

Anyone not received anything from the department like I did? I am seeing many admit/reject posts so I am getting worried

To the non-CS major below, first congrats! What was your major? Was it STEM? I am non-CS major (humanities unfortunately) who has taken a few CS courses only. Thanks!

RE: I received the invitation email on Feb 5th and posted here right after checking my email.

Email to check the portal for a new message, which found out to be a recommendation to apply for their master's program. Disturbed getting this message after being notified of rejection a few days ago. Do it at once!

First got unofficial offer from the department with visit date, then 3 days later got the official one!

open house invitation

Very excited! I was nervous I wouldn’t get in! 1 - Acceptance 0 - Rejection 4 - Awaiting Decision

Applied to study East Asian Cinema

Thank you so much. My research area is Dynamics and Controls

To the poster below, congrats! What is your research area?

"Your application for graduate study in the Literature program majoring in Literature, at the University of California San Diego has been carefully reviewed. We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for admission. A number of factors are considered in evaluating each applicant. Please be aware that UCSD receives a very large number of applications and many excellent candidates could not be offered admission. Unfortunately, we are only able to extend offers to a limited number of qualified applicants. Thank you for your interest in the University of California San Diego and I wish you the best in all your endeavors."
