Email from POI for a Skype interview! I am thrilled!

Interviewed from 1/25-1/28.

I was contacted via email and had an interview via Skype. Still waiting for news about the final decision.

Very nice and flattering email. Seems like the waitlist is a means to expedite applicants, make us disclose our decisions as early as possible: "There is a good possibility that a funding package will become available for you, in which case we will be delighted to offer you admission to our department. We would appreciate it very much if you would let us know of your continued interest in remaining on the waitlist. We, in turn, will let you know immediately if a slot becomes available for you."

I just got an email for an interview!!!

Has anyone heard anything from these two schools?

M.S. Materials Science, TOEFL 111, 2 Publications on Nano/bio materials, not intended to apply at all, but had mailed a professor on Oct and he replied and encouraged me to apply 1 week before deadline.
