Ignore waitlist: Has anyone heard back from NYU sociology and Johns Hopkins sociology? The rejection letter is overdue and I wanna move on with my life....

IGNORE WL... QUESTION: For those who did not receive proactive emails from NYU with a formal waitlist or acceptance, and who instead have emailed NYU's office inquiring on your status, when they responded, did they say they "made most of our admit and waitlist offers" or "made all of our admit and waitlist offers"?

Potential supervisor let me know I'm on the WL. Congrats to all who've been admitted! If you have a better option please reject this offer so I can get a chance. GPA is MA.

GPA is MA. Sent an email to the grad director & he replied with 1 line saying they can't offer me a spot because they only have 2 and get many applications. I have a 5-page CV, publications & amazing credentials. Also, if you do have updates why don't you just send them? Smh.

Ignore WL. Was my application and profile so bad that they didn't even bother to send me a rejection mail? No mail or update on portal yet, was told by PI last week that 1st round offers have been sent, you may've a chance if someone rejects but can only know that in April.
