Applications will remain under review through the months of December and January. Once all materials have been sorted, we will begin sending official interview invitations to selected candidates. Interviews will take place on March 12 and 13, 2020 and will be by invitation only. Post-interview decisions will be sent in mid-March and final decisions will be sent in late March.

Got an email to check web portal. Application completed on April 12. International applicant.

I emailed at the beginning of the month to ask about the results, since I had submitted my application in January and would also need to accept or reject other offers before April 15, but I was told that they did not know exactly when they would start releasing results. Because the offer came after April 15 and my accepting another offer, I will not be considering this.

PI emailed me that I didn't make the first round, and that its possible but unlikely I might get picked up from the waiting list. Disappointing, but I'm accepted to my other top choice. :)

Generic email of rejection, kind of expected due to low GRE grade and no publications ...

No interview. Unsurprised.

This was expected. No math or programming background. Philosophy undergrad. Experience in an AI lab with one of RAIR lab's "notable alumni" who wrote one of my letters.

Post-interview rejection -- after interviewing 8, I heard they were accepting 2

Under "Status" it says "Rejected"; however, they sent a second letter (after the rejection letter in "Messages") stating that I was "Waitlisted".

To the poster below, what is your application status in the portal? Does it say "Assesment in progress" or something like "Waitlisted"? I applied for the Computer Science program and haven't heard back yet, and in the portal, it still says "Assesment in progress".

Honestly surprised to not have been outright rejected given how poorly one of my interviews went.

Told POI last week that I had accepted another offer, so I was expecting a rejection. Somehow this is more disappointing because it seems that information wasn’t considered.
