Has anyone heard back about the teaching positions? Getting so much nerves!

25% Dean's Merit Scholarship

Letter dated March 3rd, received today. Accepted by the program, waiting for official notification from the graduate division. Goodbye East Coast, it's been real!

This is my top choice!! I'm so honored to even be considered! Waiting to hear from two more programs (1a/1w/1r), but if I get in, hooooo-weeeee!!

"The department regards you as an strong potential candidate for admission and we have paced you on our waitlist...we are unable to provide information on the size of the waitlist, your spot within it, or the likelihood that you will be admitted....If spaces on the the waitlist become available, this will likely happen after April 15th." I need to let my safety school know yes or no by March 21st. Oh well, I'm flattered that my poetry was strong enough to at least get me waitlisted (I applied for CNF everywhere else), but I don't think this will happen for me. Good luck to those who got/could still get in! 1a/1w/0r, one to go.

First choice, but too hopeful because of funding. grateful for some encouragement in my writing though! (1w/1r) waiting on one more

Not even going to lie. This is my top choice and I really hope this works out!!! 3a/2w/3r

Has anyone heard from UVA or BGSU?

Received an email from Dept of English after inquiring about my application status.

Accepted via email. Promised a phone call to follow up. I'll be declining the offer so I hope somebody gets to enjoy my spot!

Not surprised, but surprised nonetheless.

Emailed the department to check on my status since it seemed like acceptances had already gone out, and I want to make my decision. Just confirmed what I already assumed, so no big deal.

Anyone else not hear anything yet? I emailed them about a week ago to ask about my status and they said they couldn't give any info. Haven't gotten a rejection email yet and hesitant to email to check again

Letter of acceptance postmarked March 4th followed by an email the next day. They expect your response within two weeks. 2a/1r/0w - still have six more schools to hear back from.

Last name S

I can breathe again. Yes! Good luck to you all...

We regret to inform you that we are not able to extend an offer of admission. Please be aware that the applications for admission this year are particularly strong, and we have been unable to welcome all of our promising candidates for admission.
