Second interview with faculty.

Email from Graduate admissions.

interview with faculty via Skype early February

No research experience.

GPA: 4.0/4.5 (A average), corresponds to something like 3.7/4.0

The admissions committee for the Higher Education program at Penn State University met recently to review doctoral application for enrollment in Fall 2020. The applicant pool this year was noticeably larger than previous years while, as always, highly competitive. Many of the applicants submitted materials that reflected considerable, relevant abilities and experiences, and that likewise corresponded with the particular strengths of the program and its faculty. I am sorry to inform you that your application was not among those recommended for admission to the program.

Got the email shortly after my interview with a faculty member.
