Received a fairly general email (addressed to my name, general body) around 1pm CST

2 years research experience, no publications

TTPB: The email had my name but seemed pretty generalized. I received it around 2:30 pm EST.

To the posters below: was the email notification general or personalized? When did you get the email?

Received a mail for interview. The interview includes coding interview

2.5y research, 2 internships, 1 pub

$5000 scholarship for fall 2020 with conditional $5000 scholarship for spring 2021 with gpa > 3.3

5 year BS program in biological chemistry (3.4 GPA) 2.5 year M Sc program (3.85 GPA) in biochemistry, graduated with honors; over 3 years of research experience, 4 strong letters of recommendation, current job as clinical lab manager. Really disappointed with the decision.

My first rejection letter. Was devastated until another great program gave me an interview. Guess it's more random than I thought it would be. There are so many great candidates who are rejected by UCSF on gradcafe this year. Perhaps they are just not having much money because of COVID? IDK

Thought it was a long shot anyway - good luck to everyone! and I hope those of us who didn't get it get in somewhere else we applied!

4 years of research experience, three very strong LORs, three co-author paper. Not very sure why I didn't get an interview but good luck to everyone else.

Email said there was an update to my application status. Checked and it was a rejection. It was definitely a reach school, but good luck to everyone who got interviews!

2 years research, 2 co-authored publications. Not surprised as this is one of the most competitive programs.
