Email notification I was rejected from waitlist on 4/13/23

Just received the official offer after being on the waitlist. Their last admit declined, so I received the last spot. Just accepted, and I'm so excited!!!

Ignore: This was copied and pasted from Reddit. I thought it was meaningful and perhaps will ease people's minds over here "Confusion about April 15th I'm seeing a lot of posts about universities "waiting until the last minute" and "not abiding by the deadline" April 15th has NOTHING to do with when universities release results. It is the deadline for accepted students to accept funded offers. And even then, not all universities are a signatory of that decision. Universities can and will continue to release results til July even. They are not obligated to abide by any national deadline. I'm not saying that it's not frustrating that they're taking their sweet time, just telling you that this is how things go and to not let your expectations run wild today/tomorrow. For waitlisted applicants and applicants put on a "silent waitlist," you'll start hearing from universities after April 15th as people commit to offers. If you're an international student: FINALIZE YOUR UNIS. Stop waiting. Even if you got in, visa processing will take MONTHS. Many are facing issues with finding good visa slots, and it might delay your start date or lose you your offer altogether. For domestic students: you can wait longer. However, remember that there are also things to finalize, like housing. It's less of a risk, but I still recommend committing to a school no later than 2 months before your start date. Good luck, everyone"

SDC program. Received email to check portal. I suspect I was on the waiting list until today, hence the late notification. I had a low underg GPA, but experience, LORs, and essays outweighed that. Very excited to attend! Good luck to everyone.

off the waitlist. SUPER HYPED

Get accepted from the waitlist.

Off the waitlist. So excited! I rejected all my other offers

Just a desperate last week before deadline plea for the admits who haven't given an answer to Stanford yet to please do so if you can. I am #1 on waitlist, and it's my first choice. Sending strength to all of us, especially those on waitlists, in this last week of chaos and stress.

Four months of radio silence and three emails later, the verdict finally came. The rejection was a one-sentence “sent from my iPhone” email. I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed in their handling of my application and conveyance of the decision. Oh well, at least I don't need to learn French now.

Ignore the status; I still haven't heard. If anyone has any news and updates, please post. Thank you
