Comparative subfield, no GRE, strong references and grades + industry exp. in my research field. Informal email notification followed by formal offer via email too. Nice emails from two professors from the program. :) No word from UBC--Has anyone heard from them yet or know when they're releasing decisions?

CP!

Not surprised. Was notified that only a limited number of international students can be admitted.

Very disappointing. I thought it was a very match program. 3a/5w/6r/10p

Email to check portal. Admitted by UBC but rejected by UofT, which is a perfect fit.

I just got an update from UofT political science, waitlisted. My subfield is comparative politics. I am being waitlisted. So, if any of you plan not to go to UofT political science, please decline now for me. :'(

Was a great fit and had a great interview/meeting with the department chair -- no idea what happened. In the words of GMAIL responses, "Bummer."

IGNORE STATUS: any updates? Looks like three people got in yesterday (with calls from POI). Should we assume it's a rejection if we have not yet heard?

email to check portal

I got my earlier post mixed up, it was a reject and not a waitlist. The subfield is CP. Congrats to those admitted. Unpredictable cycle, I got accepted into 2 top 10 programs, yet I was rejected at Maryland. I didn't submit GRE scores.

Call from a professor I mentioned in my SOP. Ending the season of first results over the moon! 8 a / 3 wl / 2 j

Email from grad coordinator with formal offer. got an invitation to visit a few days ago, but got my offer today.
