I received an email from a potential PI that I’ve mentioned in my application; the email asked to setup an interview time with him. I will update here as I complete the interview requirement and get an admissions decision result.

Although I haven't received the offer of admission yet, I was informed by my potential advisor that they are preparing an offer for my acceptance into the program. I also received an email that I was awarded the NC State University Provost’s Doctoral Fellowship.

The application was submitted centrally, and no interview was conducted. About a month ago, they requested my master’s degree credentials; however, I was not admitted to any master's program. Also, my undergrad CGPA is not that good, which could result in a rejection.

They wait listed me earlier, but didn't email me mentioning that. Later contacted grad co and recieved confirmation of wait listing today.
